Life is Beautiful

Multi-faceted - I am defining for clarity and what I want it to mean to the reader - An ability to be an authority in many connected or not - connected disciplines of life, be it science or be it philosophy or be it doctor profession or be it music and arts - any thing.

Single domain Expertise - An ability to be an authority in one domain - say in mathematics , say in systems biology, say in art etc.

To become a superior human is to become multi-faceted. The more authority one has on the more diverse topics, the more wise, knowledgeable and intellegent the person is. Multi-faceted personality enables proper channelling of energies, develops broader understanding of problems and associated challenges, develops right attitudes towards the complexity of life and associated path of
            ethics and learning. Multi-faceted personality provides an opportunity to evolve in mind.
So, my aim has been to be multi-faceted. Thats the primary reason why I maintain blogs for many topics. To be multi-faceted means more energetic. I should also mention that it is such a wonderful reference to have so many Gods in India. These the reference frames to become better, to access the deepest energies inherent in every human. To evolve into a better human.

Without reference there is no progress. Some times this reference is called competition which is external. Some times it is called introspection - where you are comparing with some one much better inside you. Thats the reason why Gods have many faces. Even if you dont believe in God, which I believe in, from a scientific and personality development point of view, the concept of GOD, the tranditions and cultural values in India are far beyond the comprehension of a capitalist mind set at any time. They cannot understand. They will try to destroy, break and all other ego driven nonsense. Thats the primary reason why India is getting into western influence. Not that India wants to. It is compelled by the power mongers in the WEST, the envy of the Capitalist community. Okay getting back to the story of multi-faceted people and their advantages to the society, to the organization, to the community, to the progress : 

However, one of the many unfortunate consequences of western influence on a country like India is that Multi-faceted concept is considered outdated in the modern times. Earlier in almost all interviews in India, the boards expected the candidates have more credentials than just one. For example, if an scientist had expertise in say singing i.e Indian Classical  / Carnatic Music, it used to be considered a PLUS. Why ? It is not because the board are dumb fellows when compared to the present day criteria. 

1. The board had a sincere desire for Growth, had ethics, very high morale, social responsibility and intentions of well being of all the employees.
2. The board knew multifaceted personality adds huge value in providing better and pragmatic solutions
3. The board knew that these people are in general vibrant when compared to the others
4. The board knew multifaceted personalities have clear objectives, vision, mission, professional, frank and are potential leaders too.
5. They were conscious of their weaknesses and they wanted to complement with a genuine resource
6. They were so matured and committed to the vision that they shun the concepts of Control freaky character, ego maniac attitude and encouraged a true team work with fairness. Today unfortunately these terms are used for attracting ONLY.

I donot have the slightest clue why the decision makers and who have the power to spearhead a country are so dumb AS*** that they blindly follow and get convinced with the most rediculous proposals of obvious selfishness. Especially true with the Congress Government. Any way coming back to the story. 

This single domain expertise concept is suitable for countries where

1. there is very high demand for human resource and
2. there is also an immediate requirement.This is the case with western countries, especially with US. So it is understandable for them to device strategies which promote this type of single, narrow minded, less energetic, faster activities / tricks / gimmicks.
3. Moreover, from profitability point of view as well, US like countries wouldn't invest since the margins are very low and they have to spend huge amounts of money to access those resources. Further its is not a good business model to make faster money. They are behind short term and huge gains, not sustainable and long term and ethical life style. Of course, bottomline is: All this is the immatured philosophy of Capitalist community who are driving the country called US of A.
4. It is also a fear factor that they may loose the control and hence power. So, all this game plan is just for power mongers not truely for progress. This is truely for selfish ends.
5. Besides all this, the other important reason is: Single domain expertise is easy to manage. Diplomatically it is called - work on need to know basis . These people will never know about the comprehensive plans. They just work on the assigned work. If they act smart, they will be fired. The Board is still in control and got its work done and made its profits. Coming to a multi-faceted person, he will be able understand and read inbetween the sentences of the board. He will have the energy to criticize, raise voice against WRONG/RIGHT etc. This type of energy rich people and intellectual, knowledgeable people are considered - 'pain in the A**' by the boards of capitalist mentality, hence they started branding for single domain expertise only so they have a better control. 

Why are we, the Indians, a country so matured in the mind, so meditative, so much ahead of the world in the living and ethics of life, falling pray to those gimmicks?The reason is India is not having leaders, the ruling party is the worst curse for this country.

India has huge intellectual resource and huge man power and huge work force. It should try to enhance further this ability to build on its strengths rather than believing what the selfish business people have to say. Countries like India should look for Multi-faceted talent not single domain expertise. Single domain expertise is a very very old concept for India. It is no game to be an expert in one domain. It is a real challenge to be multi-faceted. 

Multi-faceted also means, better understanding, better control of self, better objectives, better decision making and better priorities, living a more full life. Instead of thinking the advantages, the ruling parties are just following the nonesense being dumped into our country. 

To give a practical example: It is because of single minded character, that the nobel prize winner , Dr. Venki could not behave as better human post noble prize announcement. He proved himself to be more ignorant than any normal Indian in India. More here 

So, lets try to inculcate Multi-faceted  life style than restricting and sitting in an igorant bin.
